When everything meaty sometimes repel us, we always have the option go veggie.  Vegetables are healthier substitute for a bucket full of fried chicken on parties or whenever feel like stress-eating.  Cauliflower can do wonders for this instance.  Just glaze it with honey, sriracha and lime and there’s going to be a burst of sweet, hot and tangy flavors inside your mouth. Besides, the cauli-florets give that ‘wings’ effect so you can actually take them for buffalo wings.

Ingredients

For the sauce or glaze:

  • ¼ cup of Sriracha sauce
  • ¼ cup of honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 tbs. of lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. of soy sauce

For the cauliflower

  • A large cauliflower head
  • ½ cup of flour
  • ½ cup milk (your choice)
  • ½ tsp. of garlic powder
  • Scallions, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

For the sauce or glaze:

  1. Mix all the sauce or glaze ingredients in a large bowl, whisk and set aside.

For the cauliflower:

  1. First, preheat the oven to 450-degree Fahrenheit and prepare the baking sheet by coating it with oil or cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the cauliflower by cutting it into florets. It is advisable that you make them smaller or bite-size so they can be cooked faster.
  3. Get the remaining ingredients and whisk them all together in a bowl.
  4. Next, coat the cauliflower with batter, making sure that they are well coated.
  5. Assemble the cauliflower on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake them for about 15-20 minutes or you can reduce the time to suit slightly less done wings.
  7. Get the wings from the oven and pour the sauce over the cauliflower wings. You can also set aside some of the sauce to make it into a dip.
  8. Return the wings into the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
  9. After that, remove from the oven and toss and flip the wings in the sauce on the baking sheet.
  10. Again, return the wings into the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
  11. Serve the cauliflower wings on a serving bowl or plate. You can also sprinkle them with scallions as garnish.
